THE REVIEW

With "extreme" pleasure I present to you the new work by Exhumed!
Having reached their third effort, the group signed with Relapse improves progressively from album to album, although in the end the musicality remains the same.

The musicality may always be the same, but a band is skilled precisely in these cases, when the ordinary does not become banal.
The four guys play an aggressive death metal but with multiple grind influences. The lyrics, as usual, revolve around subjects that are not very calm, in fact, the members of this band could definitely have graduated in medicine with top marks or work as surgeons as a second job! ...this can only be the plausible explanation, just look at the cover (even if it will surely be censored in any country), open the booklet of the disc in question and you will understand from the texts and figures what I am talking about.

Regarding the music, the drummer knows how to maintain good tight rhythms and at the same time very intricate alongside the guitars that do their duty with the notes and the right distortion. The vocals are harrowing and the second voice quickly croaks the words of the long texts of "Anatomy Is Destiny".
The CD opens fast and sharp after the intro with "Waxwork" followed by "The Matter Of Splatter". The mood calms a bit, but overall the pace of the eleven songs is always very sustained. In closing, "Song For The Dead" will perhaps amaze you for its subtle melodicity, but don't worry because EXHUMED will return and when they do, they will be even more ruthless than before!

Summary by Bot

Exhumed’s third album Anatomy Is Destiny showcases consistent growth in skill while maintaining their signature aggressive death metal mixed with grindcore. The band delivers tight rhythms, intricate guitar work, and harsh vocals that complement the graphic medical-themed lyrics. Despite a familiar musical formula, the album stands out without becoming repetitive. Notably, the closing track surprises with subtle melodicity, promising even more ruthless returns in the future.
