THE REVIEW

"Gutter Phenomenon" is a badass album.

Imagine if Elvis Presley got covered in tattoos and started blending some good old punk/hardcore with his pure and untainted Rock 'n' Roll, African American slang for the word "sex": a hellish scene where, despite what the prudes might think, you have a blast!

No dismay, no anger, just pure fun and tons of (self) irony: the opening track "Apocalypse Now and Then" and the powerhouse "Kill the Music" (the music video even features Michael Madsen!) are true masterpieces in their genre, and the appearance of the blond singer from My Chemical Romance in the seemingly calm "The New Black" does not fall short either.

The rest of the tracklist sets at tremendously high levels for a band with such a raw and direct sound, making it almost impossible not to define "Gutter Phenomenon" as one of the key albums of the modern Hardcore scene, a true DIY guide to not taking yourself too seriously: it's like that friend who gets you into the coolest party of the year, and unexpectedly, you have fun, get drunk, sing, dance, even hook up if you're lucky, and you find yourself at the end of the ride soaked, smelly, in pathetic shape, but with a smile on your face.

Gutter Phenomenon by Every Time I Die is a high-energy hardcore album full of fun and self-irony. Standout tracks like 'Apocalypse Now and Then' and 'Kill the Music' showcase raw power. The collaboration with My Chemical Romance’s lead singer adds depth to the album. Featuring cameo appearances and a DIY attitude, it’s a must-listen in the modern hardcore scene. The album captures the wild, carefree spirit akin to a wild party you won't forget.
