Hello everyone! This time I want to "un-review" an album that I had always underestimated, but now I understand that it is a good album. It's one of my first reviews, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to express myself well.
The album is "Out of this World" by Europe. Despite the lineup change on guitar, with Kee Marcello replacing John Norum, the songs are beautiful, as are the solos. Among all of them, some songs stand out more than others: they are Superstitious, which indeed talks about superstition and includes a beautiful solo, then there's Let the Good Times Rock and Ready or Not. A special mention goes to Sign of the Times, perhaps my favorite song by Europe, which blends the power of Marcello and Leven well with Michaeli's beautiful keyboard part at the beginning.
Even in the concert "Live From The Dark" (which I have also reviewed), Europe took a few songs from this album, proving that Superstitious, Let the Good Times Rock, and Sign of the Times never get old. I hope I've been able to convey how beautiful this CD is, and I believe that to comment on this album, you need to listen to it first.
Goodbye to all!!!!
A very clean, catchy hard rock, even bordering on AOR melodies: this is precisely the strong point of this record.
Kee Marcello who doesn’t make us miss the old guitarist at all.
"'Out Of This World' barely manages to consolidate the band at the levels of its predecessor."
"It is a tired projection into the present while winking at the past until it blinds itself."
