A South Bronx group of sisters (Deborah, Renee, Marie, Valerie Scroggins) known for percussion-led, minimal funk/no-wave singles that influenced clubs and hip hop sampling; early releases on 99 Records and later compiled by Soul Jazz.

Early singles include "Moody", "You Are No Good" and "UFO". Tony Wilson noticed them while recording in England; their first LP 'Come Away With ESG' was released on 99 Records in 1983. A Soul Jazz compilation collects their early singles and best tracks; a second self-titled LP was released in 1991 on Pow Wow. Many hip hop musicians have sampled their recordings.
