Battito infinito

After four years, Eros Ramazzotti returns with his Battito infinito. Twelve tracks characterized by "love", "life", "us" and other typical nuances of his work. Here, however, it must be said, the final "aaaa" is not accentuated as in his latest works.
"Ama" kicks off the album well, a song about life released as a single and thus widely heard by readers.
The Latin American "Madonna de Guadalupe" is intriguing, but nothing more.
The trio "Ritornare a ballare", "Figli della terra" and "Eccezionali" is rather banal, especially track 4, where Jovanotti also intervenes with a now predictable and foreseeable rap insert.
"Sono", which comes four years after "Siamo", is instead satisfactory and is sung with Alejandro Sanz, both in Italian and Spanish, a market always touched by Eros parallel to the national one.
In the second part, the album slightly grows. In "Gli ultimi romantici", "Nuovi eroi" is also mentioned, although the song is nothing special.
The trio "Magia", "Nessuno a parte noi" and "Ti dedico", especially the latter, try to escape from the already heard, at times succeeding.
The last two tracks give the album, for the writer, a satisfactory finish that was missing since Ali e radici. The first is "Ogni volta che respiro", with music by Maestro Ennio Morricone and lyrics by Mariella Nava, and indeed there is a more solemn setting compared to Eros' traditional songs; and the title track, a full eight minutes and eighteen seconds long, well sung, with a spoken monologue by a female voice and sound effects that evoke the cover, which sees Eros immersing in the water wearing a shirt.
It is an album to listen to all at once for one or two times, to already grasp its essence.
