Lately there's been talk about a genre, "punk-funk," and a city, New York. Now let's take the genre and move it to San Francisco: we find four local girls, add a dash of blues and a couple of cubes of garage, mix it all together and here's an exceptional cocktail called Erase Errata.

The 4 errata, unfairly eliminated from the 2003 year-end charts, throw in our face 13 truly high-level songs, fast songs with no frills (rarely exceeding 2 minutes) nervous and very no wave guitars that play between melody and improvisation, while the bass runs straight down its own path, disregarding what's happening around it.

In songs like Owls and The White Horse Is Bucking, the desire to move your backside is as overwhelming as the anticipation of seeing them in action soon on Italian stages. They seem to enjoy themselves while playing, and the sonic fun is assured for the listener.

They probably haven't created anything new and copy here and there (Gang Of Four, Lost Sound, God Is My Copilot), but when the result is like At Crystal Palace, no one can complain. Kudos to them and to the entire female world.
