I have to hold back.
I have to try to be as 'tactful' as possible, because if I lose control for a moment, a barrage of interminable insults will come out.
The fact is that, in my opinion, Enter Shikari are conceited. From the start, their personality was very clear: we're talking about a band that, given the genre they play, would either explode or remain anonymous. In the end, an album like "Take To The Skies" made everyone shout a miracle. Are we talking about an innovative band? Certainly, the aforementioned record was a sonic bomb mixing rave, electro, and metalcore, something never seen before. And the praises were well-deserved.
Then the second album "Common Dreads," followed by live albums and various releases, just kept twisting the knife in the wound, trying to soften the sound without being predictable.

But if you play with fire, you end up getting burned.
And with "A Flash Flood Of Colour," Enter Shikari made a big mistake. Their attempt to stand out from the crowd pushed them to make an album that couldn't be worse, thus linked to the dubstep and rock scene that is so trendy right now.
Imagine an album made of random riffs, drums going their own way, squeals here and there, voice often out of tempo, and every 2 songs the pseudo-ballad with an attached final explosion. Finally, imagine it all remixed by Skrillex, and the result can only be an atrocity.

But who cares, since Rou Reynolds and co. will continue to be praised by critics, convinced they've found the new messiahs of music, but just go beyond appearances to understand that you're dealing with an album hiding a rare lack of ideas.
