PETER PAN - ENRICO RUGGERI
Coming off the good success of the previous work "Il falco e il gabbiano", E. Ruggeri returns with the new "Peter pan" in 1991, which immediately garnered excellent critical and public acclaim.
The album consists of eleven rock tracks signed by a now established big name in Italian music, someone who has always had fun, someone daring enough to offer a taste of Queen (in the title track), with absolute brilliance. With the homonymous song "Peter Pan", in fact, the album reaches its peak: a true poem written by Rouge, with a remarkable symphony of instruments accompanying his voice.
It’s also hard not to mention yet another gem, "Trans", a piece with an incredibly incisive text, in which many people could recognize themselves, and, why not, also find the strength to react against the abuses suffered, redeeming themselves.
Furthermore, there is "Scelte di tempo", not to be missed, as well as the subsequent "La Band", capable of providing great energy, besides probably being the best piece after the title track.
This superb album concludes with "Il volo di Peter Pan", in which the artist aims to resume what has been the leitmotif of the album, the now-famous phrase: "dimmi chi sei, dimmi cosa vuoi, cosa devi raccontare...", but gives ample space to the drums.
The album ends this way, but there are very few things left to say... Ruggeri once again managed to demonstrate his incredible skill as a lyricist and singer, without disappointing a single fan, and this album is the absolute proof. He deserves a big break, because there are very few artists like him left in Italy. He is among the best, always and in any case.
