THE REVIEW

Jazz for big band with a sprinkle of space-age and some concessions to exotica.
The result is not disdainful; the record doesn't bore even though it doesn't excel. It's a listening experience for an aperitif, not too intrusive and rather relaxing.

Worth noting is the presence, among the members of the Light Brigade, of Tony Mottola, Nick Perito, and most notably, Dick Hyman, one of the major exponents of Space-Age Pop.
