Ennio Morricone & Bruno Nicolai

Musical Group

Ennio Morricone (1928–2020) and Bruno Nicolai (1926–1991) were Italian composers who collaborated on recordings and film music. Morricone was a prolific film composer and arranger; Nicolai worked as a composer, conductor and frequent collaborator of Morricone.

Ennio Morricone received an honorary Academy Award in 2007 and won a competitive Academy Award for The Hateful Eight (2016). Bruno Nicolai often conducted, arranged and collaborated on film score recordings with Morricone.

A single DeBaser review frames Metti, Una Sera A Cena as a vinyl-worn bossa nova reimagined through an Italian lens. The reviewer emphasizes tactile vinyl charm and a warm 1970s domestic nostalgia. Musically, the album is described as bossa nova flavored but distinctly localized. Overall appreciation is tempered — fondness despite imperfections.

For:Fans of Ennio Morricone, collectors of vintage vinyl, listeners who enjoy cinematic bossa nova and Italian soundtracks.

The vinyl chases itself in the perfect circular motion and renews the magic, every time with an extra crackle.
