Film set during the civil war in the former Yugoslavia, which, initially, left me very puzzled, unusual for the other worlds it traversed and of which I had never experienced, but step by step, it won me over, making me fall in love with it. To stay on theme, I believe it's a film that's good for the heart to watch; anarchic, rambunctious, improbable, and excessive, out of the ordinary like the brass bands that underwrite it (have you ever seen or heard a Balkan brass band in your life? No? Well, then you've truly missed out on something....), as I was saying, noisy, colorful, and variegated, tender, poignant, a grotesque surreal fairy tale that, with its strengths and weaknesses, will win you over!
