In the year 2000 when this album was released, I dyed my hair blond, I adored Eminem and I still like him. The haircut plus the dye cost me 35 euros, but I felt tough, strong, gritty, a bit like him.
For me, he's great, he's someone who in the world of predominantly black American rap, he, being white, overrides the hierarchies. Magnificent. This album is really cool, it starts with a song that is truly entertaining "The Real Slim Shady". Watch the video! But the tracks I prefer on this album are undoubtedly "Stan" with the chorus sampled and sung from a song by Dido (Thank You), which talks about a fan obsessed with Eminem. A punch in the stomach is "Kill You" a track of pure hatred! The album is produced by Dr. Dre for 18 tracks of hip-hop history. To me, he truly is an incredible character, only with the worldwide success he has had, he has become overexposed, meaning all the kids would listen to Eminem forgetting that American rap is so varied and vast. In short, in a few words, he became the Britney and the Aguilera of rap. Moreover, he hates various boy bands, girl bands, and pop stars from the hit parade and often mocks them in his hilarious music videos. For me, the best album by Eminem is well-produced, with lyrics that are a punch in the stomach, for a truly magnificent character.
Now I no longer have blond hair, but if Eminem were to make another album as smashing as this one, I'd take a trip to the hairdresser, or maybe not, the past is the past.
Shout out to all the brothers from Kenny - The rest is boredom!
"The Marshall Mathers LP is for me one of the best albums I have ever listened to, where Eminem perfectly blends extraordinary rapping ability with engaging beats."
"What stands out most is the lack of boring or clichéd songs; Eminem always keeps you glued to the stereo, curious about who will be his next humorous target."
