Released in all stores and digital platforms, “In your head”, the debut album by Ely, an artist and musician from Salento, in collaboration with Fossa Drummer, drummer of Sud Sound System. The album is produced by DrummStudio Production.
A true Salento native, Elisabetta Inguscio, born with this name, has a dynamic artistic personality that embraces various styles - from soul to jazz to melodic rock, with reggae and electronic influences - that perfectly matches her gritty, sensitive, and passionate nature.
She embarked on her musical journey at a young age, starting in Copertino and continuing in Milan, where she studied and specialized. From there, she made the leap toward her first high-level experiences, initially with the Roman band “Gli Stasi,” where Ely was a backing vocalist, soloist, and skilled guitarist, and in 2010 with the Sud Sound System, for whom she co-authored the song “Nella notte,” a hit included in the album “Ultimamente” and in the compilation “Can't stop the music” of the famous Salento reggae trio.
The collaboration with Sud led Elisabetta to perform in their tours and numerous live shows, contributing to the formation of a partnership with Antonio Miglietta, known as Fossa Drummer, a drummer with over a decade of experience (featured on the stage of the Primo Maggio Concert in Rome and in the famous program Rock Politik by Adriano Celentano on RaiUno) and one of the most established in the reggae music scene; a successful artistic and creative synergy that led to the creation of the single “Vita” in 2013 and, after months of studio work, to the release of “In your head”.
The lyrics, both in English and Italian, are an explosion of emotions and make “In your head” an album with an international flair, where engaging and fascinating rhythms are expertly blended, ranging from reggae to Caribbean soca, from funky-pop to pop-soul, all enhanced by an unmistakable electronic sound.
An ambitious musical project, driven by Ely’s inexhaustible desire for renewal, starting from the marvelous Mediterranean sounds to embracing Caribbean rhythms, in a mix that immediately captivates and struggles to find a strict genre categorization, as it happens with all works influenced by a multitude of cultures.
