What the heck can I say about this chick here?
She comes from Germany and, teutonically speaking, should offer us Hard Rock like Scorpions.
Too bad, though, that her hard rock is more akin to an easy chart pop suitable for MTV rotation. There's nothing in this album that will appeal to a hard rock enthusiast, nothing.
From a songwriting perspective, all the songs are excellently composed and beautifully sung by our Ela, who immediately showcases her splendid voice. A voice which, however, doesn’t have to exert much effort with the songs in question since if "Bleed" is a pleasant and sufficiently sappy ballad you've heard thousands of times, "Out Of Time" is a pop-rock song neither praiseworthy nor blameworthy but with the catchiest chorus I’ve ever heard. Radio-friendly.
There's little to say and/or add except that if you're passionate about this kind of sound, you'll find this album enjoyable. However, if you live for hard rock and know the etymology of the noun and the adjective, then, you'll use the disc as a pizza cutter and nothing more.
But before starting to compose, why don't they conduct a grammatical analysis of the words?
You try it, it shouldn't be that difficult: "Hard Rock."
P.S.: I don't know why the Scorpions are mentioned when talking about Ela but, really, they have nothing to do with it. Because they would have never composed a pop-crap-song like "Who'll Stop The Rain".
