Maria Brink exhibits tempered aggressiveness and a voice capable of moving from piercing screams to expressive clean vocals.

Maria Brink's versatile vocals stand out, delivering both intensity and melodic moments.  Listening to some of these tracks was such a traumatic experience that I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

I can’t wait for Morena to be replaced ... the hope of improvement has completely evaporated into the ether.

The review expresses strong disappointment with Macbeth's third album, Malae Artes, citing a radical stylistic shift and problematic female vocals as major flaws. While maintaining some heavy metal guitar strengths, the album abandons much of their original gothic metal style. The reviewer criticizes the addition of electronic elements and the presence of Morena's vocals, which they find detracting from the overall quality. Despite these issues, the review acknowledges the band's originality attempts and praises certain tracks' guitar work. Discover Macbeth's Malae Artes and decide if their bold style shift suits your metal taste.

Melissa Ferlaak is a true golden voice. She possesses the highest, sharpest, and most crystalline tones I have ever heard in a metal group.

This 'Trinity' is an incredible and continuous succession of highlights ... you won’t be disappointed.

Visions Of Atlantis’ album 'Trinity' showcases a dynamic blend of symphonic and power metal, highlighted by Melissa Ferlaak’s exceptional vocals. The album avoids overused symphonic clichés, focusing on powerful guitars and engaging songwriting. While not aiming to rival giants like Nightwish, 'Trinity' presents a consistent and enjoyable collection of tracks with romantic and melancholic themes. Despite one minor weak spot, the album is a strong step forward for the Austrian band. Dive into Visions Of Atlantis' Trinity and experience a fresh wave of symphonic power metal with standout vocals and gripping melodies!

The dominant color is a lifeless gray, all the shades present tend towards the darkest black, and any glimmer of light has been removed to make the trio’s atmospheric-doom visions even more claustrophobic.

‘Through the Eyes of Regret’ is a rare moment of pure quality; it had been long awaited.

Elegeion’s 2001 debut album Through The Eyes Of Regret is a sincere and intense doom metal work marked by melancholic piano, contrasting vocals, and a dark, claustrophobic atmosphere. The album evokes early Anathema and My Dying Bride influences but adds unique touches through meticulous string and piano arrangements and expressive vocal delivery. Praised for its emotional depth and originality, it remains a significant release for fans of 90s-style doom and gothic metal. The album balances sorrow and beauty, maintaining doom metal's vitality through genuine expression of despair. Explore Elegeion's haunting debut and immerse yourself in a sorrowful doom metal journey today.

The album won’t make the history of a genre and will definitely be hard to digest for any brave soul of these sounds, but it will undoubtedly bring joy to all lovers of the so-called love metal.

The true cherry on top is Mikael Back’s contribution; his piano passages cloak various episodes of the album in despair and sadness, delving deeper into the soul than the other instruments.

Beseech's final album 'Sunless Days' showcases refined gothic metal with captivating dual vocals and strong arrangements. While it blends influences from notable bands and offers moments of brilliance, it suffers from inconsistent pacing and lack of innovation. The album is a worthwhile listen for gothic and love metal fans but may feel repetitive or conventional for others. It reflects both the band's artistic strengths and the challenges they faced in gaining wider recognition. Discover the haunting beauty of Beseech's 'Sunless Days'—explore its melancholic melodies and nuanced gothic metal craft.

"Ae partly abandoned the ethereal singer cliché... re-emerging under a demonic guise with acid screams that match Angela Gossow's impact."

"No filler episodes or unlistenable covers were offered; this debut shines with sincerity and impeccable instrumental command."

Amethista's debut album Realitale blends black metal with gothic and symphonic influences, showcasing precise instrumentation and powerful, varied vocals by singer Aeretica. The band successfully merges styles from Nightwish to Cradle of Filth, creating captivating and emotionally charged tracks. While not groundbreaking, the album impresses with its technical skill and fresh energy. Standout moments include aggressive songs and a memorable black metal ballad. The album promises growth and potential for future recognition. Listen to Amethista's Realitale now and experience a powerful blend of symphonic black metal and gothic intensity!

"Hilvern is a magical, enchanted, and timeless world where melancholy and romance reign."

The album's main flaw is its incompleteness: the tracks are ethereal and sad but too brief and too similar to leave a lasting impression.

Artesia's 'Hilvern' is a mystical and melancholic album that tells a story of an enchanted forest and ancient spirits. The French duo combines ethereal vocals, synths, and violin to create a dreamy, fantasy-inspired soundscape. While the album captivates with its atmosphere and poetic concept, it suffers from brief and similar tracks and a lack of lyrical depth. The review hopes for a stronger, more distinctive identity in future works. Dive into Artesia's mystical 'Hilvern' and experience a hauntingly beautiful ethereal journey today!

Their music is pure cynicism made of dripping black liquid, so opaque that it leaves not the slightest glimmer of hope.

"Red Flags" requires multiple and accurate listens, and it certainly cannot be dismissed with a minimal approach.

The Provenance's 'Red Flags' marks a significant stylistic shift from their earlier despair-filled death metal to a more personal, melodic, and cerebral sound. The female vocals replace harsh growls, creating captivating yet occasionally less impactful melodies. The album's dark, apocalyptic themes continue, enhanced by strong instrumental performances and intricate lyrics. Though not as immediately striking as previous works, the album rewards patient listeners with its depth and emotional intensity. It stands as a bold, unique statement far from commercial trends. Dive into The Provenance's 'Red Flags' for a dark, emotional metal journey—listen, explore, and experience their unique sound today!

The opener 'Glass spirit' is the most unusual thing I’ve come across in recent times; no darkness, but only sweet winter melodies.

Nihil is without a doubt a beautiful album, well-played, excellently produced, and atypical compared to the standards of folk metal.

Nucleus Torn's debut album Nihil offers a bold fusion of folk, classical, and extreme metal, showcasing the talent of seven skilled musicians. Despite some stylistic disconnection between tracks and a few vocal weaknesses, the album impresses with its originality and quality production. The 37-minute record captivates with surprising shifts in tone and texture, making it a worthwhile listen for adventurous music fans. Dive into Nucleus Torn's Nihil for a unique blend of folk, classical, and metal—experience a truly original musical journey.

This is the only classification that comes to mind and seems to fit perfectly after listening once again to an excellent debut like 'Transcendental', whose only minor flaw is neglecting emotions a little in favor of an impactful sound.

If I strain myself, I could speak of a mixture between jazz, progressive and thrash metal, with very vaguely gothic metal hints, but it’s almost absurd to try to dissect a proposal like this, which lives on its own light and without fear it amazes and moves from the first listen.

To-Mera’s debut album Transcendental is a daring and innovative metal release blending progressive, thrash, and jazz elements. Led by Hungarian vocalist Julie Kiss, the Anglo-Saxon band pushes boundaries beyond typical female-fronted metal. The review highlights the album’s variety, technical skill, and emotional depth, praising standout tracks and instrumentation. While it may not suit fans of conventional gothic or symphonic metal, enthusiasts of complex, adventurous music will find much to admire. Dive into To-Mera’s Transcendental and experience a groundbreaking fusion of metal styles—listen now and expand your musical horizons!
