I must confess I’ve never been a fan of Joy Division; I don't think it's a mortal sin, but the whole post-punk, new wave, etc., has never caught my attention. Perhaps due to a lack of melody. What can I say? I’ve listened to their records and I have to admit they’re not bad; who knows what I was into back then.

I believe that at first I listened to this record mainly during REM phases, napping after napping I stayed awake and listened. Ambient, I began to understand that music needs to be appreciated in different ways and times. Not all listens are the same, the spheres are different; to appreciate it, you must catch the right one. I was a confused teenager and I picked up these concepts in those musical lakes that magazines were back then.

I approached them because they were revered by my older brothers and friends, and then that banana. I had the records at home, the only work I bought was "VU," a collection of old things never recorded. Many dismissed it, but in my opinion, it wasn't scraping the bottom of the barrel.

In *1984*, I was enchanted, a spell that lasted for years. I wasn't particularly drawn to Japan; I listened to this album with little enthusiasm, yet it became a lasting love. I start with a track that introduced me to another great musician who elevated the piece to heights where breath is lacking.

I'm just at home with "Coso," my loyal friend, surrounded by shelves of records and other faithful companions.
I think about the albums I've willingly listened to, which have shaped me for better or worse. Many were already at home, some I bought myself, and still, many were released years earlier.
