Mercury Rev - Opus 40

a piece that pays homage to the style of Garth Hudson (who was a guest on that masterpiece of a record dedicated to him in Hudson's line).

Chest Fever (Live At Woodstock, 8/17/69)

The intro of Chest Fever is probably Hudson's most famous moment as an organist: Alice Coltrane meets Bach.

The Band, "This Wheel's on Fire"

another gem from the brilliant Garth Hudson: he connects a telegraph key to the Rock-Si-Chord, the electric harpsichord, creating a unique sound, a blend of old and new.

The Band - When I paint my masterpiece

another peak from the good Garth, here grappling with a sound carpet of accordion.

The Band - It Makes No Difference

And now the last member of the Band has left us, Garth Hudson, the oldest of the group (87 years old). A true soul and glue of that unmatchable ensemble, holder of a legendary organ sound as well as a good saxophonist. I like to remember him in that role with one of his few moments in the spotlight in Scorsese's The Last Waltz, where he usually let his bandmates take center stage but held up the sound structure more discreetly. Long live Canada!!!

Fred Neil - Other Side Of This Life

I think I'll get myself a sailing boat and sail the Gulf of Mexico...and from today, the Gulf of America!

Roy Orbison - In dreams - from the movie Blue Velvet

farewell David, may the earth be light upon you.

no title

hahaha but the story of the falconer from lazzzie? to say the least, iconic.

Tu che sei mio fratello - Invenzioni 1974 - Renato Zero

when Renatone made the little mice tremble and not only them.
