Today I told my sister that she has gained weight.

Which is objectively true.

Did I care about hurting her feelings?

Of course, but the affection I have for her outweighs even the risk of hurting her.

I didn’t judge her or laugh at her.

I just told her the truth, the truth she needed to hear.

Being a leader is difficult.

Sometimes you have to be the bad guy and be ready to accept the fact that you can’t please everyone.

You must always be able to tell the truth, even the most uncomfortable one, but that people need to hear.

Even if they don’t understand it.

Because it’s the best thing for people,

the truth.

That’s what it means to be a leader.

I want to emphasize that even with a simple act of humanity, life can become better.

Last week, I had an important job interview scheduled with a major player in the industry.

On my way there, I noticed a dog, scruffy and visibly malnourished, in need of affection. I stopped, petted him, and noticed that he had no collar.

So, I decided to go to a nearby supermarket and bought dog food, a brush to clean him, and a bowl for water. I spent the entire afternoon with this helpless and sweet little creature, completely forgetting about the interview.

My priority at that moment was different.

The sun set, and I said goodbye to my furry friend.

The next day, my phone rang, and the interviewers told me they would still like to schedule an appointment for that same day.

I was surprised and honored by the second chance, so I rushed to the office. On the way, I didn't see my furry friend, but I didn't have time to wonder where he was. I just hoped he was okay.

I arrived at the office, and the secretary had me wait for 5 minutes before inviting me into the office.

I took a deep breath, gathered my strength, and walked in. The office was large and bright. My gaze immediately landed on the desk, and on the other side was the owner of the company.

It was the dog from the day before.

@[ZiOn] lately my listening habits have been leaning towards a specific type of "nerd" rap, which in the US is referred to as Backpack rap.

To be clear, as you might have noticed from my latest listen, I’m literally consuming MF DOOM’s stuff, followed by Lootpack, Madlib, etc.

In short, all the underground hip hop releases from the late 90s/early 2000s that came out of the worst basements.

Do you have any names to suggest? Not including Def Jux, Anticon or Psycho + Logical, realities that I’m already quite familiar with (wonderful).
