Shady Grove (Live) Mimi & Richard Fariña with Jean Ritchie. UH.

Joan Baez - The Trees They Do Grow High @[luludia] and here’s another one. As far as you know, could this be the first recording of the traditional during the folk revival period? Let's say from the mid-'50s onwards?

01. Peter Hammill - In Translation - Ciao Amore (Luigi Tenco) 25 songs by Hammill that aren't always the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems from an endless discography (and indeed, with all his songs you could re-asphalt the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (20/25)

the minutemen - what makes a man start fires lp And here it is, finally, the first dish. A juicy plate of pasta all'amatriciana for quality, a mix of various first courses (punk-funk-jazz-post-punk, this time even a dash of rock) for the content. Of course, it’s not yet the overdose of meat, fish, vegetables, cured meats, eggs, and cheeses that will come later, but we’re almost there. The maturity of the band has begun, and you can feel it.

02. Peter Hammill - From The Trees - Torpor 25 songs by Hammill that aren't always the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an infinite discography (and indeed, with all his songs you could repave the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (19/25)

Cailín na Gruaige Doinne (Slow Air) A greeting to Master Paddy, Master Fay, and Master Potts.

Peter Hammill - The Line Goes Dead 25 songs by Hammill that aren’t the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an endless discography (and indeed, with all his songs one could repave the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (18/25)

Minutemen - Bean Spill (1982) [full Ep] Before the first, there’s still time for the last appetizer dish. A dish, guess what it is. Meanwhile, quality, class, and creativity continue to grow, accompanied by an irony and sarcasm in the lyrics and style that are simply wonderful. Beautiful, my dear.

Of Kith & Kin 25 songs by Hammill that aren't always the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an endless discography (and indeed, with all his songs, one could repave the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (17/25)

The Punch Line (Full Album) -- Minutemen And so we enter the restaurant, take our seats at the table, and here comes the appetizer. Very small portions in size, but very generous in quality. After that, the main courses will begin.

Peter Hammill - Faith 25 songs by Hammill that aren't the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an endless discography (and indeed, with all his songs you could repave the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (16/25)

Interview scene in Videodrome with Debbie Harry as Nicki In "Scanners," in that lineup of very cool LPs from 1979 in the record store scene, I think we were missing the Blondie album "Eat to the Beat." But that's okay because for the next film we’ll get Debbie Harry in (new) flesh and blood, which is easier.

Peter Hammill : A Ritual Mask 25 songs by Hammill that aren't the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an endless discography (and indeed, with all his songs one could repave the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (15/25)

the minutemen - joy 7" This time a precise media: 3 songs 3 minutes of ep. In short, after the chocolate, this is the mint you eat in the car, on the way to the restaurant. Only this mint is even better than the chocolate. Three shards of extraordinary Hardcore/Post/Punk songs. Before you know it, you've pressed play and it's already over, but in that moment, you experience a masterpiece.

the minutemen - paranoid time 7" 7 shards, not even 7 minutes long and the most beautiful rhythm section of the '80s (above all, the greatest bassist of the '80s). 1980, this little lightning-fast gem here is beautiful, already showcasing their unique way of playing Hardcore-punk. Exceptional musicians, exceptional lyrics. But we weren't even at the appetizer with this very first EP. This is the little treat you enjoy at home before heading to the restaurant.

Scanners - L'esperimento Nothing, I just wanted to point out that in the sequence with the bus crashing into the record store, in a couple of shots you can simultaneously admire "Drums and Wires" by XTC and, lower down, Zappa's "Sheik Yerbouti", "Exposure" by Fripp, and "Breakfast in America" by Supertramp. All this from 1979 makes me think that the film is set a couple of years before its release. Anyway, lucky coincidence or does Cronenberg have great taste?

Four Pails (2007 Digital Remaster) 25 songs by Hammill that aren’t always the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an infinite discography (and indeed, with all his songs one could repave the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (14/25)

Ozric Tentacles - Strangeitude (Full Album) 1991 LONG LIVE PSYCHEDELIA! LONG LIVE COLORS! LSD! AGAAGHAHAHAHAH

Peter Hammill & Guy Evans--"Multiman"-("Spur of The Moment" 1988) 25 songs by Hammill that aren't just the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an endless discography (and indeed, with all his songs one could repave the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (13/25)

Peter Hammill - If Language Explodes 25 songs by Hammill that aren't always the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an endless discography (and indeed, with all of his songs one could repave the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (12/25)

Patient 25 songs by Hammill that aren't the usual classics, to rediscover scattered gems in an infinite discography (and indeed, with all his songs you could re-pave the Grande Raccordo Anulare) (11/25)

O.D.'d On Life Itself Another great track, rock divided between deliciously pop vocal melodies and an even more deliciously stained r&b structure.
