Life Discs #13 Alan Sorrenti - Aria ( 1972 ) Completa + Testo I put Buckley, so I feel like putting this one too. At the time, it took me at least 3-4 listens before I realized it was indeed Alan Sorrenti, that Alan Sorrenti... I wonder if in 5 years those two great albums by Sant Just, his sister's, will also become part of my "life discs." Likely.

Life Records #12 Tim Buckley - Lorca (1970) [Full Album] Because "Starsailor" was stolen from me by Silas, but this one is so close to it. What experiences those first listens were... The title track... An album of this life and also of the next one.

Life Records #11 Led Zeppelin I - 1969 Because first loves and so on. And then this remains one of the most beautiful Hard-Blues/Rock-Blues albums of all time. Huge record.

Life Discs #10 Staying in Germany (part II) Einstürzende Neubauten - Zeichnungen des Patienten O. T (Full Album) A bit cliché perhaps, but among all their albums, I always find myself choosing this one, perfect.

Life Discs #9 Staying in Germany (Part I) Amon Düül II - Yeti (1970) German Prog I completely lose myself in the last three improvisations, acid psychedelia at its highest levels. I love them.

Life Records #8 Halleluhwah - Can (1971) 1/2 Halleluhwah - Can (1971) 2/2 And here they are, the wonderful Germans with the crazy Japanese singer. Free, genius, tribal, insane, melodic, superb. Few records have struck me so immediately, even in their experimental nature, as "Tago Mago." Ahead of their time, unique, among the greatest of all time.

Discs of Life #7 Pixies - Debaser There isn't even a full album for this one, so the choice of song seems obligatory. If I had to pick one between "Surfer Rosa" and this, I would go with this because it's a truly incredible masterpiece of eclecticism; it moves in so many different directions and each piece is something unique. The first time I heard it, I didn't understand a thing; it has no coordinates, it’s pure imagination, a beautiful kaleidoscope, there's everything in it. One of the most beautiful (and influential in the subsequent decade, if we want to mention that) records of the 80s to perfectly wrap up the decade.

I finally listened to the first self-titled album by the Sweet Inspirations, which also features the legendary "Knock On Wood" THE SWEET INSPIRATIONS ~ KNOCK ON WOOD and Franklinian gems like "Don't Let me Loose This Dream" and "Do Right Woman... Do Right Man," on which they had just contributed that same year (1967; they also contributed to Van Morrison's debut, a beautiful album that nobody pays attention to because then there's "Astral Weeks," which is one of the most beautiful albums of all time). In short, they're awesome.

Life Records #6 Area - (1976) Maledetti (maudits) [Full Album] This will forever be my favorite album by Area because, in addition to being an actual masterpiece, it's also the first one I ever listened to and it's the album that opened my eyes to how much great music had actually been produced in Italy as well. Then came Orme, Banco, singer-songwriters... But they remain number one, with this album at the forefront.

Life Discs #5 CREUZA DE MÄ - Fabrizio De Andrè I couldn't find the full album, but I think it’s clear enough, and I'd say I've mentioned my favorite De André enough times to reiterate that it’s here (and why), accompanied by a colossal Pagani. An eternal, immense record.

Life Disks #4 I wanted to put "Starsailor" by Tim Buckley, but Silas snagged it. Alright, let’s move on to Gong. I've always felt more connected to "Angels Egg" than to "Flying Teapot," so I’ll go with that Gong_ Angel's Egg (1973) full album "Prostitute Poem" is something incredible.

Life Discs #3 AA. VV. No New York (Antilles) 1979 producer Brian Eno. Full CD Under the wing of Brian Eno, an album that truly made me taste something new, wild, and underground. Struck hard by these 4 incredible bands. I will never get it out of my head. Rhythm, fury, noise, avant-garde, experimentation, communicative urgency, rock'n roll, funk, and twisted saxophones.

Life Records #2 when I stopped listening exclusively to progressive and started losing my mind over something else too, urban hysterical nervousness moveyourass Talking Heads - Talking Heads: 77 [Full Album]

Life Albums #1 shamelessly copying Silaslang's idea A Trick of the Tail - Genesis [Original Mix] (1976) And it wasn't obvious that I would start like this, right? I could have randomly chosen one among "Trespass" and "Wind and Wuthering"; they're all life albums. The little box stopped on this one.

Crowded house sister madly 1988 (official video) This gem of a pop song is perhaps the best from the second album by Crowded House (of their 4, it's the least impressive but still a good album), bolstered by the guitar of guest artist the master Richard Thompson.

Swans - Real Love One of the authorial peaks of this crazy, crazy man. Intensely overwhelming.
