dead can dance: avatar I am increasingly convinced that good jdv666 was right to consider them a kind of dark and cursed version of the celestial and otherworldly music of Popol Vuh, especially when Lisa sings. It's out of this world, such a piece.

This Heat - S.P.Q.R. And to think that in these months I've been listening to very different things, yet, cyclically, I have to listen to this song again; it's like a drug.

@[hellraiser] really great job with the debut of Raw Material, I just finished listening to it, it doesn’t last long and it's very enjoyable, all nice songs. It's also true that it lacks that "something" to be special, it doesn't stir anything inside, but it's still a nice album that I will happily listen to again. I will gladly dive into the next one, reviewed on deb and labeled as the work of "adepts" of VDGG. Ah, the cover of this album, I say it again, is sublime. I believe it has become my absolute favorite along with In the Court.

MARC AND THE MAMBAS - Black Heart (7" Version) With all due respect for Soft Cell or Almond's excellent solo career, this album by the Mambas is truly a peak not everyone can reach.

Marc & The Mambas - Vision Where could Hammill's cover be if not in the most hammillish album that Almond has ever conceived? Two greats.

Much Ado About Nothing The most beautiful film by Branagh. I like him (almost) only when he adapts Shakespeare like a good student, but this one in particular, given the comedy it takes up, light and breezy, is more successful and enjoyable compared to the monumental and ambitious adaptation of the complete Hamlet a few years later (which is beautiful as well, in my opinion, anyway). This film is awesome and Emma Thompson rules, paired with Branagh, two geniuses.

Life's Records #50 and the end Robert Wyatt - Rock Bottom (Full Album 1974) What, you’re not surprised, are you?

Jethro Tull - Hunting Girl (live in London 1977) Relentless, priceless Ian. And John Glascock "The new boy", the poor guy.

Life Albums #49 Miles Davis - Bitches Brew (1970) - full album My life as a music enthusiast cannot ignore this album, and that first astonishing listen wisely experienced while I had a high fever—I didn’t really understand a damn thing.

Records of Life #48 Van Morrison - Astral Weeks There's no full album, so I'm posting the title track. It was a really tough choice between this and "Veedon Fleece," which would have fit perfectly with those sounds, that music, that green. But "Astral Weeks" turned out WAY too good, and when it turns out too good, oh, I bow down and move on.

Life Discs #47 Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love and Hate My Cohen album has always been this one, the pinnacle of darkness and pessimism, a black hole, and from here, coincidentally, Nick Cave has also drawn inspiration.

Life Discs #46 Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick full The incredible harmony achieved in this super-suite is exactly what the next album lacks in my opinion. Anderson at his musical and lyrical peak, after this it would take 5 years to find them at similar quality levels again (although Minstrel was already a great album).

Cup of Wonder ~ Jethro Tull Without ever being pretentious, the intrinsic epicness found in certain English melodies like this one, so purely uplifting, is magnificent; I can't help it, that melodic cadence pumps me up too much.

Neil Young - Old Man A little refresher on Neil Young, now I'm pulling out "Harvest" again.

Bauhaus- The Three Shadows Part II "I Hold the fresh pink baby, with a smile. I slice off those rosy cheeks, because I feel so thirsty" Amazing song, Conte Murphy.

Life Records #45 Van der Graaf Generator - H to He, Who Am the Only One (Full Album) The difference between this and the others, apart from the unique atmosphere and sounds that these 5 pieces possess, is that this was the first to pass through my ears.
