Styx - Put Me On
A strange creature that enchants you by perfuming itself with Yes and then abducts you, transforming into Atomic Rooster (don’t miss the dreamy psych break at the end).

Journey - I'm Cryin'
A piece like this, Foreigner and Kansas don’t have it! The guitar blows out the amp and Steve Perry slams it on Terry Reid 💣

Marillion - Out Of This World (1999 Remastered Version)
The moment H utters a single word, it sends you to Andromeda.

Styx - Born For Adventure
Uriah Heep teaches!

Journey - Someday Soon
The Journey are not AOR, they are Music 💣

Journey - Keep on Runnin' (Live)
Hey Bruford! Hey Palmer! Check out this verse timing! Journey in odd time UAHUAH

Journey - Still They Ride
Foreigner are too Americanized and even their early works get too bogged down in rock, while I would have preferred Kansas to be more prog and less folk in their grooves. And if we've established that Styx (during the Equinox/Pieces of Eight period) are great in prog tracks, Journey also fits into my enjoyable listens, given that their atmospheres are neither wave nor plasticky and quite close to a sound reminiscent of Asia/Saga.

Mahavishnu Orchestra - Dream
Well, I'm hanging from the chandeliers!

Nova - 1976 Vimana - 02 Night games
It's no coincidence that Phil Collins was their drummer for a while. I don’t know, maybe for three rehearsals, but many have noticed the first two albums by Nova, works to be included among the golden albums of fusion.

Styx - Suite Madame Blue
We were still far from the plasticity of Too much time on my hands, The best of times...

Styx - Castle Walls
They may have been plasticized by Cornerstone, and although the golden period of Equinox - Pieces of Right may not feature albums that are stunning from beginning to end, as a lover of prog, I cannot ignore certain atmospheres.

Nova - Driftwood
The first two albums are the beautiful image we Italians created in America, which was all about fusion. Corrado Rustici, the guitarist of Cervello, had become super fast like Holdsworth 😆 His voice fits perfectly with the American sound, and honestly, I prefer it to Vairetti's, who is sublime with Osanna but less impactful in other projects like Città frontale and Uno.

Funkadelic - Funkadelic - Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On - 07 - Good Thoughts, Bad Thoughts Part 1
Maggot brain didn't come by chance. Look at the hole in the cosmos they made here.

Herbie Hancock - Sly
Vein Melter and Watermeleon don't send me into orbit, but this and Chameleon are among the grooves from beyond this universe by Herbie.
