Touch - Black Star
1980. A fundamental album for heavy music mixed with Rundgren-like sounds. The keyboardist Mark Mangold, a sort of Gregg Giuffria, was part of American Tears, a not memorable but somewhat interesting pop prog band. A level that Mark manages to elevate with Touch and subsequently with Drive She Said (an AOR band in the style of Whitesnake during the "1987" phase).

Triumph - Spellbound
The coolest drummer-singer along with the crazy Dan Beehler from Exciter ⛔

Prophet - Street Secrets (Remastered)
When American heavy metal gets infused with neo prog synths and other wonders 💣

Steel Crown - Bad Flowers
Yako De Bonis is one of the most expressive voices in the Italian scene and beyond. A masterful performance of a piece that makes the Scorpions envious.

Bruce Hornsby - I Will Walk With You
@[musicalrust] has atmospheres that immediately make you feel good like magic.

Vanadium - War Trains
This album, 80,000 copies at the time...

Alcatrazz - Jet to Jet
Yngwie Malmsteen + Graham Bonnet = BOOM!

Riot - Flight Of The Warrior
...and let’s drop a bomb from this seminal record. In Italy, we weren’t doing that badly, considering the speed outbursts of Strana Officina and the Sabotage from Behind the lines.

The Cult - Phoenix (2009 Remastered)
Dreamtime and Love are obviously the most trippy and alienated albums by the Cult (captivating but still rather standard compared to the primordial Southern Death Cult and too rock-oriented from Electric onwards).
