Nice. Nonetheless, Grohl's attempt to reinvent himself is commendable, with irony and skill, even if certainly not with any indispensable genius. Rock to be listened to for half an hour while you're on the highway, without too much effort.

Among the most heartbreakingly beautiful voices I have ever heard. It goes straight to the heart.

And if not him, then who? Who is the greatest singer-songwriter of all time? Guccini? De Gregori? Or even Dylan or Cohen? No, gentlemen, number 1 is De André, because he has never had any missteps (which all the others, including my beloved Dylan, have had), and he has always renewed himself, striving to create music (and literature in a sense) of high quality. A great personality, a great man.

I would like to remind you that the term hard pop was coined by a certain Mr. Pete Townshend, when it obviously was not synonymous with crap. The Finley, however, define themselves as the ultimate crap.

The first two albums are nice, even though they aren't masterpieces, since both start off well and finish a bit weak. I know little about the other albums, so I can't evaluate them.

Excellent sense of melody, fresh but not bland songs. Great lyrics. Among the best in Italy.

Strummer/Jones are right behind the unreachable Lennon/McCartney. I don't listen to them often, but they were geniuses. Among the first punk bands to achieve success, certainly the first to go beyond the confines of very repetitive music. They had the courage to take that step that the Sex Pistols didn't have time to take and that the Ramones never did.

They initiated a cultural revolution (the foundations of which had obviously already been laid by the rockers of the 50s) of historic significance. Then the music...beautiful in its simplicity. And let's not forget George Martin, without whom all of this would not have been possible. Immense.

Very impressive. Equipped with a sound so dense and rich that you can lose yourself in it (blessed be the street band) and with a voice that moves me after two seconds. Great.

The best with Ozzy, then a downward spiral.
