An effective and straightforward guitarist like few others, but without excessive desires for the spotlight, someone who knows his place. A peculiar touch and an immediately recognizable sound, a good composer and arranger, he is one of those guitarists capable of saving even mediocre pieces with his contributions (listen to "You Don't Fool Me"). Piero Pelù

I don't find that he has lost himself in the commercial and the trivial at all; on the contrary, with the crap offered by the latest Vasco and Liga, the good Piero seems to be one of the last true rockers left in Italy. His most recent works, although lacking the polish of the past, seem very good to me, and still firmly connected to the rock matrix. I respect him.

I'm sorry. Nature had bestowed upon him a great talent. That talent brought him money, fame, and success. Success slowly killed him. It's too easy today to say that a great artist has passed away. Too easy yesterday to think poorly of him. Too easy to judge people without ever having known them, without ever having looked them in the eye, without ever having spoken with them. His music never aligned with my tastes, but strangely I feel that I will miss him, and that must mean something.
