After achieving success as a synth-pop group, they could have continued to make money hand over fist... Instead, they chose to experiment, even at the cost of becoming unpopular; then, once they became unpopular, they could have returned to a more pop sound to please their label and audience... but they made the most dignified decision: to disband rather than sell out, probably aware that they had given everything they could to music! A tremendous example of dignity!!!

A style so unique and difficult to interpret... that no one has ever truly managed to imitate them (unlike many past groups that were widely imitated and copied), but probably no one has ever dared to do so out of respect for them and for a style that was meant to remain unique!
