First two albums: with a rather static and mediocre pseudo-metal and a minimalist, also quite lackluster electronics (capable of turning up the noses of fans of both genres), and some scratches and rapping borrowed from the hip-hop world, they managed to create a unique, powerful, and still unmatched sound. In essence, with very little, they were able to bring out something great and innovative. Subsequently: while a lot of bands have been afraid to change for fear of losing their audience, they instead showed courage by changing style with practically every album, proving themselves to be more eclectic, mature, and grown-up than their rather simple and commercial songs might suggest. First with the melodic pop-rock of Minutes to Midnight, then with the experimental and sophisticated electronics of A Thousand Suns, the high-energy electronic rock of Living Things, the robust alternative rock of The Hunting Party, all the way to the very light and trendy electronic pop of One More Light, which, despite its slightly formulaic and flat nature, is certainly more worthwhile and decent than much of the crap out there. In short: THEY ARE A GREAT BAND!

It is aesthetically ugly, when it farts it emits large amounts of methane, when it shits in company it creates a terrible stink that disturbs the entire surrounding neighborhood, it eats a lot of grass uprooting hectares of vegetation, its milk is a potential allergen and according to some studies it might even be carcinogenic... What is it waiting for to go extinct???!!!

Potential new Muses who didn't fully believe in it. Indeed, the essence was there, that sound rooted in alternative rock/indie, that heavy use of electronics, that vaguely post-prog flavor, that almost apocalyptic touch and just a hint of tackiness. But it seems they are about to return!

There's a lot of crap going around, and he's at least musically acceptable and has evolved over the years where others have fallen into repetitiveness. You can give him some credit, even if he has also declined quite a bit lately… But come on, he's idolized like a god as if he were Robert Fripp; there are thousands of artists and bands that would eat him for breakfast, objectively speaking. To call him an artist is quite a stretch, let's take it easy… Those who truly understand music only consider him a "good songwriter, at least varied," while those who label him a "great artist" are the ones who only listen to mainstream stuff and haven't heard anything else in their lives…

In reality, they make (in the sense of "used to make") perfectly normal music, as it should always be: free from constraints, based on the willingness to be tempted by an idea and finding the best way to throw it in. And this applies to any other band of the experimental, avant-garde, and prog genres. It's everyone else (pop primarily but not only) who plays non-normal music, based on canonical structures created solely for the radio but that, in nature, do not belong to them...

Fake and unpleasant, she seems deliberately chosen to lower the cultural level of little Italy to a minimum and steer it towards mediocrity and shallowness! An extremely functional character to her sad role!

Who knows how many people started their journey into the craziest, alternative, quirky, and experimental music precisely with them... They deserve respect just for that. Loving them, at least a little, is almost obligatory if one wants to be considered a true music lover!
