J. J. Abrams

I have the impression that he really irritates a lot of nerds because he would have discredited this and that.. In my opinion, he is a capable producer who, along with his colleagues at Bad Robot, has also developed interesting ideas (considering they were conceived in the '00s and '10s, of course..) He is worth much less as a director & screenwriter, even though the two Star Trek movies he was in charge of entertained me quite a bit..
