A true curse!

Beautiful group, at least appreciable, in the Eighties, mediocre in the Nineties, anonymous and irrelevant in the last decade. I'll also turn a blind eye to their fake humanitarianism and give them a 3 because "Boy" and "War" remain great albums, and even the others up to and including "Achtung Baby" are more than decent. However, it would have been time to retire, even though I know that will never happen.

During the urban uprising in Los Angeles, I'll always prefer Jane's Addiction by a long shot. I've always found the Guns to be enormously overrated; the songs I actually like I can count on one hand. Their version of Knockin' On Heaven's Door is one of the worst covers in history.

At least up until One Hot Minute, then total emptiness. They were pioneers in the crossover scene; any blend of rock and rap is at least partially indebted to them. Giving a low score based on their recent, lackluster efforts means downplaying their importance, so 4, even though it's been over ten years since they've produced anything worthwhile.

The group example that I would gladly use as a coal.

I've never liked them this much, but I don't doubt their importance. Often, people tend to overrate them in certain aspects and underestimate them in others. Scaruffi's crusades are useless; on the other hand, there are biased critics who serve us phrases like "they are the best ever and invented everything (rock, pop, psychedelia, prog, etc.)," thus belittling the merits of other great contemporary bands. Nonetheless, they are one of the most important and influential groups of all time, and this, whether you like them or not, must be acknowledged.

One of the best metal bands in the world, captivating and effective both in heavy moments and in quieter ones. Proponents of an evolved and irresistibly meditative melodic death with a peculiar old-style progressive flair that shuns Scandinavian clichés. I also think that lately they have become rather repetitive and a bit formulaic; however, I cannot rate them lower than the maximum.

I saw them once on Brand New, when they hadn't participated in Sanremo yet, and they surprised me. After a year (summer 2006) I was already tired of hearing them. And to think that Sangiorgi has been compared to Jeff Buckley...

I'm a kid :) I've never been bothered by it and I'm not ashamed. I appreciated them when they were awful little rascals making a huge racket, and I've appreciated them even more with the melodic burst of Vol.3... It could be 3.5 but I'd gladly round it up!

I quote ProgRock! It's no coincidence that I'm "embryo". Together we stand, divided we fall!
