So, the album isn't a masterpiece but remains quite enjoyable, and too much nonsense has been thrown around on this page. Dave Grohl is a great drummer, and honestly, the comparison with Dinosaur Jr. feels forced, especially considering the hyper-polished production of this product compared to Mascis's work. "Everlong" is the best song by the Foo Fighters and, in my opinion, elevates the album from 3 to 4 stars on its own.

But for goodness' sake... how can one say that Saviano is an inflated and artificially constructed character??? Has your brain flipped? You criticize the excessive media exposure of a writer who denounces the atrocities of the camorra, but for what reason? To show that you're going against the grain? Does someone need to be killed for you to realize how important people like him are in this shithole of a country?

@progrock: in my opinion, moving away from "hardcore brutality" and getting closer to "prog structures" is not always synonymous with a "leap in quality" or evolution... for me, one of the strengths of Blood Mountain was the blend of aggression in the approach and the sonic and structural variety of the pieces.

Yes, it's a shame that for certain messages the so-called "public service" always chooses the third channel, almost as if it were a nuisance for the average viewer of the first channel to find themselves thinking about something important for a moment... instead that evening on raiuno there was some random crime movie and on raidue Voyager. God forbid that the audience factor be set aside for a good cause every now and then, right! Goodness! Not to mention the Mediaset programs that evening which still had more viewers than Saviano... let's draw a charitable veil over it...
