If there's someone who only thinks about strumming like a machine gun, it's definitely the overweight Swede. Plus, Petrucci's musical culture and his variety of guitar approaches? Malmsteen can only dream of that...not to mention the compositional skills! Look, there's really no comparison. Also, just watch the G3 to see what a mess the fat guy made compared to Vai and Satch.

Why is it exaggerated? I prefer Malmsteen's first album and Odyssey over Trilogy, while Suspended Animation is a decent album or a bit more and deserves, in my opinion, a 3.

The ultimate connoisseur has arrived! Without you, I didn't know that music is something else, with the caveat that we should say "it is ALSO something else." You can't reject hard rock as a music genre, especially since it's essentially blues + rock, and you can't speak ill of either one.
