The live at the Astoria is really great! I also went to see it in Nonantola last year and it's still the best, no contest.

I know very well that blues is a genre of black musicians (B.B. King, Albert King, etc...), but among white musicians there are also great interpreters, most notably Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan; particularly the latter leaves everyone behind in terms of style. As for Johnny Winter, he deserves great credit for bringing blues closer to the shores of Hard rock, which is no small feat; moreover, he has a phrasing, if you listen carefully, that, drawing from the sacred monsters of the past, has influenced many blues and non-blues guitarists who came after him.

Yes, I acknowledge that the Tokyo jam is the worst of all the G3s, although there are some notable moments (Foxy Lady has its merits); what disappointed me more than anything was Petrucci (whom I still prefer over Malmsteen), as he was often repetitive, despite being capable of improvising with much more variety, knowing him. In my opinion, over the last period (from 2002 to today), he has become fixated on those hyper-fast and hyper-useless solos that do not do him justice because you'll agree with me that during the Ibanez era (up to '98-'99) it was a whole different story. He did give me a little something to appreciate in the final solo of Octavarium.

I agree that "Alive in an Ultra World" is on a higher level, but that doesn’t mean that the performance at "G3 live in Denver" was negative, quite the opposite... Of the three, he was the best, just as he was in both creativity and sound at "G3 live in Tokyo." I reiterate that I have nothing against Malmsteen, it’s just my opinion…

Alright, let's bury the hatchet and stop arguing about tastes, okay? I'm off to bed now... good night.

I'm sorry, but Vai is definitely the best, while Satriani has a slightly lower volume, and it’s hard to appreciate him fully... Malmsteen, I hate to repeat myself, but he always plays the same harmonic minor scale that he's been playing for years with the sweep going back up, without a hint of variation; sure, he's incredibly fast, no doubt about that...

Yes, yes, in fact while Yngwie was positioned in front of the audience doing his solo, separated from the other two, they were standing behind, looking at each other and laughing, I mean, you could really tell that they were making fun of him! HA!HA!HA!

Well, in fact, you're not entirely wrong; for punk, elaborate vocal runs don't really fit that well (I mean, you can never say never) :-D
