disturbing landscapes painted with strokes of acid noise... releasing an album like this in 1985 is one of the reasons why SY are among the most important and extraordinary artists in the history of rock.

The feeling of standing in front of one of the most overrated albums in history is clear, with crowds of people praising it far and wide as a milestone of immeasurable splendor... to me, it simply inspires pity, with all due respect. I've tried so many times to listen to it, I kept it thinking "well maybe over time my tastes will mature to the point that I can appreciate it," nothing could be further from the truth; every time I listen to it, it's the same awful lament. The fact that it's considered a landmark of a genre doesn't change my opinion one bit. I give it a 2 instead of a 1 just for Anna Frank, for some decent arrangements, and for the untitled instrumental piece.

Here on DejaSuer it gets 4.54 out of 5, Storiadellamusica gives it 9/10, Sentireascoltare rates it 8/10, Pitchfork gives it 8.4/10, Panopticonmag (a site I highly recommend) scores it 80/100, even Scaruffi, who is not exactly generous, gives it a 7, which for him is like an 8.5 for anyone else... who’s missing from the call? The only dissenting voice is Ondarock, which assigns it a meager 6... meanwhile, I’m giving it a 5, increasing my score from two years ago.
Martin McDonagh In Bruges

excellent black comedy, it pleasantly surprised me; I thought it was just another action movie, but instead, it’s a little gem, one of the best of 2008.

Indeed, this image is of a bootleg of the original recordings... with "Let it Be... Naked" you can listen to it all with significantly better quality and, of course, still without Spector's orchestration.

The solo in "Moonage Daydream" is stunning, thanks to the chord progression put together by a certain Bowie... one of the best hard-rock shred albums of the '80s, it’s a shame it hasn’t been reissued in a remastered version, because the 1987 compact disc has a sound that is nothing short of poor. In any case, it’s far from being a masterpiece.

A phenomenal album overflowing with ideas and quotes, between Cicciput and this, they are maintaining a very high quality level both musically and in the lyrics. "Amico Appalache, dove ti cacci? Voglio soltanto consegnarti un memorabilia."
Frank Zappa Jazz From Hell

being able to conceive such crazy scores is a trait that doesn't belong to mere humans... that said, the album itself doesn't communicate much to me, infinite respect but it's not among my favorite works of Zappa.

Chinaski, I too am an atheist to the core, but one of the fundamental dogmas of Christianity is that God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are the same entity while simultaneously being 3 distinct entities (a bit like saying that 2+2 equals both 4 and 5). Therefore, saying that God was crucified according to Christian logic makes perfect sense, given that His son Jesus Christ is actually God Himself made man.
