I don’t really care about being adored, nor about being taken for the messiah; it’s just that of the 7 groups you mentioned, only Metallica are worth saving, but only up until 1991, while the others are nothing more than commercial phenomena, lacking any originality. But since you’ve gotten worked up, I’ll end the discussion here, also because it seems I’ve already wasted too much time.

"Polly" is about a girl who has been raped, make of that what you will... I wouldn't exactly call it a "serenade."

Holy cow, Bisius, the record has been voted 9 times, 4 of which by you, enough already!

I can't wrap my head around how a 27-year-old thinks that Finley or Linkin Park are doing okay... this either means he hasn’t listened to anything from rock or hard rock, or has tastes of a 15-year-old, or is heavily influenced by what MTV proposes... Since I don’t want to offend your intelligence, I’ll exclude the last two hypotheses... Unfortunately, though, the first one remains as the only justification... and don’t talk to me about personal tastes because, generally speaking, tastes change with knowledge, maturity, and time; the discussion I made earlier was referring to inexperienced kids, not to someone your age who I believe should have surpassed that phase... sorry.

Ten years is not a small amount of time... Sorry, but how old are you? Like many, I started with Queen and gradually began to develop a passion for more and more diverse genres and bands... I began with the Beatles, then Oasis, and then I discovered 70s rock (ACDC, Led Zeppelin...) and I assure you there was a complete turning point in my tastes. I moved on to metal first with the more famous bands, and then I discovered some amazing artists that introduced me to progressive, the genre that satisfies me the most. Additionally, while playing the guitar, I started to appreciate blues in all its forms, learning about hundreds of musicians and albums I never dreamed existed. That's why I'm telling you: it's great to have your favorite albums today, but don’t just listen to what the "marketers" suggest, because you have no idea how many albums have been made from the 60s to today that could change your musical perspective (for the better). I wouldn’t want this to come across as a paternalistic attitude; it’s just a result of a bit of experience.

Don't take it as an offense, but until you listen to quite a few more records that go further back than 2000, from many different genres and periods, and perhaps from artists who aren't very famous, you will never have a realistic 360-degree idea of what music is and what it has been able to create in the past... start digging into the immense cauldron of music in search of some of the many treasures it contains, and you will realize that the records you are currently listening to need to be significantly resized, but not because I say so... you will realize it yourselves... anyway, over time you will understand it by yourselves, and that doesn't mean you will renounce your past, you will just bring it into focus from a more detached and aware perspective. I'm not referring to any of you in particular; it's a general concept that I felt like proposing to you. Please, if you want to respond, do so calmly since I don't like arguing.

Well, in fact there were only 6 reviews of this album, so it was worth doing another one... we’re getting closer to review number 10,000, and it wouldn’t be bad if it weren't just another duplicate...

The concept expressed by Antuana is clear: you can't write any criticism in a review, only praise, otherwise you're hypocritical or envious... Am I wrong or is there freedom of speech and thought? I really like the PJ up until Binaural; after that, I think they haven't produced anything worthwhile and I also believe that live they haven't performed as well as they did 6-7 years ago, but since this is a criticism I deserve to be labeled as hypocritical, right? Because I shouldn't have opened my mouth in a review unless I had something to say in their favor... Well, fans are really made from a mold...

In my opinion, you rated it too low! This record is played by God and recorded even better... There’s my favorite part of Jake, which is the rawer blues and rock soul (as also in Badlands). But can we talk about the drummer? Dunbar really gives his best here... damn, what a touch, what dynamics! All these wise guys obviously stopped at the first line and only commented on that, without even listening to the album. For me, Jake's vintage recovery work in these covers (by the way, of Johnny Winter and Montrose, whom I adore) is priceless... Kudos to the reviewer for the idea.
