So you didn't read my earlier post...I asked you to motivate me because you think the album is mediocre.

Dante, is the concept of sarcasm not clear to you? ;-D

It is up to those who present a specific criticism to demonstrate and argue what they claim. From how they do this, one can then determine whether they are competent and convincing or not; this is how you can distinguish them...

I don't know what you think, but for me "anti-democratic" and "fascist" are among the most serious insults one can receive and are not at all proportional to what my intervention was, even in light of my previous post; not even remotely comparable to "ignorant," but if it hurt you, I apologize...

Well: putting aside for a moment that the album was released in September and therefore it's impossible that you listened to it this summer... You said: "It's a fact that if one criticizes one of these supposed masterpieces, Debaser fans like you explode in revolt"... WRONG! I haven't heard any criticism from you regarding the Areknames album... a CRITIQUE presupposes, first and foremost, listening and then providing ARGUMENTATION for your MOTIVATIONS regarding it; it seems to me that you haven't talked much about what the album contains, nor why it would be, in your opinion, subpar. You only displayed a stubbornly contrary attitude a priori, which normally provokes a legitimate reaction in those who sense it... a reaction that would not have arisen at all if, instead of asserting that "masterpieces cannot originate in Italy," you had criticized the album in question by explaining the elements that, in your view, rendered it mediocre.

I think it's their most unjustly underrated album.

1. I never said that I'm the greatest band of all time. 2. The fact that you haven't listened to it is quite evident from what you said (what are the chances that your "phantom" uncle has recently made you listen to the Areknames album considering it was released just 3 months ago and it's not exactly being promoted...). 3. You mustn't dare to call me anti-democratic and extremist-fascist. You can call me stupid, idiot, imbecile, but not fascist, firstly because it doesn’t seem like I have taken away anyone's freedom of thought (I don’t restrict anyone from expressing their ideas), but know that democracy doesn’t mean everyone gets to say whatever nonsense they want without accepting a comparison with others' ideas.

You've convinced me, pep92!! If the critics idolize them and an online metal magazine gave them a 9... well, then it means that Green Day are fantastic! At least as amazing as Blink182! At least as extraordinary as Linkin Park! At least as stunning as Finley! Yes yes yes yes!! They are great! And I have the proof: the critics give them very positive ratings!! Okay, but can I avoid listening to it 1000 times? Because it's so beautiful that I would be afraid of ruining it...

Don't think you're the only one reading English magazines that, in many cases, (Uncut, NME, Mojo, etc...) write nonsense, mostly talk about gossip, glorify mediocre bands that they will promptly forget within a couple of months, and proclaim masterpieces of albums that at best can serve as coasters...

The mental blocks are from the '70s, while the album by Areknames, which I reiterate, you haven't listened to, is from 2006.
