rikiii, I was responding to the absurd statement "METAL IS A NICHE GENRE." I know very well that there is good and bad in every genre. But saying that metal isn't made for selling is like saying that toilet paper isn't made for wiping your ass...

But do you have any idea how much bands like: Pantera, Slayer, Megadeth, Sepultura, Dio, Judas Priest, Motorhead, Death, Dream Theater, Manowar, Metallica, Iron Maiden have sold and continue to sell?? And I could go on for 3 hours just with the major bands or pioneers, add in several thousand moderately known bands and clone groups, and you would have a small idea of how much metal sells.

Unforgiven: The market has been saturated with heavy metal bands since the '70s! It is the genre (or rather, we should refer to it as a movement) that has most resisted the crises of the music market. THERE ARE MILLIONS OF RECORDS SOLD EVERY DAY BY THOUSANDS OF CLONE BANDS PLAYING POWER METAL, THRASH, DEATH, PROG, BLACK ALL IDENTICAL TO EACH OTHER (except for a few commendable exceptions). METAL IS THE MOST COMMERCIAL SIDE OF ROCK MUSIC!! Whether you metalheads like it or not, it has a volume of sales that cannot be compared to anything else!! Stop feeling like the few chosen ones with special tastes different from the masses because the masses are, above all, you too!!

the second track, "Laura Palmer's Theme" is truly haunting, just like several scenes in this series...the rest of the soundtrack doesn't say much to me...
Egg The Civil Surface
Voto:
Great album this one by Egg, very diverse and original. And excellent review.
Beehive Kiss me Licia e i Beehive
Voto:
The Beehive is definitely the thing that has aged the worst from the '80s, along with Joey Tempest's curls and the big breasts of the "drive-in." :)
Vasco Rossi Il mondo che vorrei
Voto:
Vasco doesn't mimic anyone? But if he is the apotheosis of a lack of originality, not just now, always... the only album that barely saves itself is "non siamo mica gli americani" and everything else is trivial, useless, and predictable like the character who created it. The last 5-6 albums aren't even good as coasters...

Here’s my rating for the album. I must say they've become a bit standardized, yet it’s still excellent indie rock tinged with alternative pop.

"One wonders how it’s possible that songs like 'Conventional Wisdom' have never been heard on the radio"... well, with Vasco, Ligabue, house music, and hip-hop taking up 90% of radio airplay, there isn’t much room left for good music... Anyway, I'm interested in this album since I have 'Perfect from Now On,' which is truly spectacular. I’ll listen to it and then assess.
