Korn Life is Peachy

@CarlMarx: "In her genre, Madonna is good" oh really? In the fucking crappy chart-topping Dance-Pop genre, sure she's good, yes. And then, even assuming there are standards to follow to be considered good within a certain genre, almost as if it were a mathematically precise operation. So, Korn in THEIR GENRE aren’t “good”…but what is their genre? It’s not exactly classic '80s metal; it could be defined as Nu-Metal, which is a genre that has produced more crap than decent stuff, but in fact, IN THEIR GENRE they aren't among the worst. Or is this reasoning only applicable to Madonna? You see, I think differently, in absolute terms of quality, without using the bureaucratic classification of various genres and sub-genres. That said, I don’t think this Korn album is anything special either...

It’s not the Venetians who are horrible, it’s the intolerant ones, and unfortunately, there are quite a few of them in Veneto, as in other regions. The Northern League is pointless in trying to disguise it; everyone knows what they truly want, secession… great, let them try if they can, kicking out everyone who doesn’t agree with them and putting up barbed wire and anti-personnel bombs so that southerners and immigrants can’t enter their precious Padania (by the way, I’ll point out that a large part of the Po Valley belongs to Emilia, a land where the League fortunately hasn’t taken root yet, despite the astonishing outcome of the elections). It makes me laugh when League members talk about integration… integration is primarily a cultural thing, which clashes with the intolerance they carry.

Aside from the fact that Unplugged would mean "with the plug disconnected," whereas the plug is actually connected... it would be better to call them acoustic rather than unplugged...

Oh well Fabietto... if these are your reference artists, there isn't much more to say... bye.

If a person sees music as pure entertainment without pretensions, then it's perfectly fine for them to appreciate Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Manowar, and Eros Ramazzotti. But if someone conceives of music as art and knows albums like "I Could Live in Hope" by Low, "Daydream Nation" by Sonic Youth, or Labradford or anything by Zappa, Brian Eno, Slint, or Tortoise—just to randomly mention the first ones that come to mind—how can they then seriously think that records like these are anything more than expensive coasters? My only answer is that it's music for people who ask of music what a truck driver asks of a strip club, not what a man asks of his own soul.

I'm not talking about you, it's a more general discussion.

I only say this: I cannot conceive that someone listens to music like that while being convinced they are experiencing art... I refuse to believe that ignorance can reach such levels. At most, one can be superficially satisfied with a superficial product if they have a superficial musical culture... Then it is clear that, using a culinary metaphor, if someone knows and eats only asparagus and zucchini their whole life, they will think these are the best foods that exist, ignoring the existence of lasagna, spaghetti alla carbonara, etc. In the end, you might prefer asparagus, but for Christ's sake, at least taste the rest first!

Indeed, it’s thought-provoking... it makes you think about how every fart of this artistic nullity is marketed, pushing millions of lobotomized idiots to snatch it up and maybe say around that it's a great record because it’s cool to listen to Madonna...

Come on, "epochal" is excessive for this album... yes, it will be a pleasant listen, but there are definitely other epochal albums from that time...
