Sure, if when you feel like "having some fun" you listen to this junk...

Proud to be a buzzurro and ignorant. Said by you, it's a compliment.

"Durotta"? I'm masculine!! =) And then you talk with your dazzling resume: 32 comments and 0 reviews... Anyway, treat me however you want, but call me a bumpkin and ignorant to someone else.

Bilquis, take it easy with the quotes from Wikipedia about hyperbole since not everyone here is a bunch of ignorant kids... and even if you use a bullshit phrase like hyperbole, it can be criticized just the same; the title of hyperbole doesn't elevate the nonsense to a level of shareable opinion. I never get to the point of thinking that post-rock is all this hassle, even on days when I'm not in the mood to listen to it, because I genuinely appreciate it and I'm not just forcing myself to listen to it because it’s cool to listen to something alternative... that said, there are never days when I feel like listening to this crap of albums like the one reviewed here.

It's really an album that when I hear it tires me out...and I don't feel like listening to it again except to give it another chance, which is always promptly wasted...it's a complex album, but not in that fascinating or intellectually appealing way, rather in a brash and conceited manner...the equivalent of an extravagant carnival float...behind the facade, it hides in my opinion a cold technical display that serves no purpose, though masked by the many piled-up influences...

But how pointless is this discussion from 1 to 10? 800?

Expressive you say Rooftrampler? To me they seem the antithesis of expressiveness... I mean... it seems to me that their language is more of an operation aimed at overlaying different genres, rather than attempting an original fusion of them into a single style...

If this is the best album you have, I imagine the rest isn't much to write home about... I hear very little psychedelia... I mostly hear inconclusive instrumental wankery that feels like a sterile attempt at failed experimentation; the Latin influences are quite annoying to me. Don’t get me wrong, these are musicians with balls, but I find the final result heavy and disjointed for my tastes, even though I think this is their best work...

I went through a phase where I was listening to bands like Clutch and Fu Manchu, old-school hard-rock roughnecks, conservative mess-makers in my opinion, and I was fascinated by their rawness but lately they're starting to annoy me a bit... maybe I'm listening to them at the wrong times... who knows... anyway, this album is holding up decently.

Stunning work...here we move from Tortoise-like sounds to outbursts reminiscent of Neurosis...truly excellent. One of the best Sludge-post-core releases in recent years.
