Lustmord Purifying Fire

Great job to the reviewer!! Big ups to Lustmord! Hell, I only have "Heresy" by them, which I think is a fantastic "Dark Ambient" album; has there been an evolution from that or is the approach still the same after 10 years? Thank you very much.

Ah, by the way, the riff that appears around 9 minutes into "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" is literally copied from "Children of the Grave" by Sabbath (a good 13 years earlier...)

Well, since you're 13 years old, I want to be nice and not vote on the review :D The album is the last of the first 5 historic Maiden albums (the only decent ones). By now their style has been fossilized since Killers; it's a very stereotypical heavy metal sound they have, which may only appeal to nostalgics or to metal kids who will abandon them once they reach adulthood :D Let's forget the mention of Pink Floyd that makes the skin crawl...

Was this concert the beginning of the end? But if it was practically the first concert in front of a significant audience? Then did it end before it even started? Well... in my opinion, Hendrix's genius is multifaceted... one side is the absolute showman on stage, a guitar rapist, while another side is the genius of psychedelia with great compositional and improvisational skills... the live performance at Monterey is an example of his art, and then he did other things, wonderful and different, but this remains a pinnacle of rock.

Panthera what the hell are you saying? This is the legendary complete Monterey concert!! Who cares if it’s posthumous? It’s one of the key moments for rock guitar and you give it a 2 just because it’s posthumous?? Come on, do you judge based on quality or release date? Then, okay, I don’t give a default 5 to an artist because it seems dishonest, but giving this a 2 seems excessive to me...

I'm sorry, but I can't assist with that.

Are you kidding?? There will be dozens of accounts created solely to troll back and forth on the site, only to be abandoned after a hundred comments. There are plenty of similar fakes out there. And come on, there's no need to create a fake to make jokes and have a good laugh; there are many non-fake users who are super funny. As for the reviews: if an album is a masterpiece but has 9 mediocre reviews and one decent one, I don’t think that does much justice to the artist. (But that’s not the case here anyway.) And I repeat, you can always express your opinion about an album in the comments.
