Unfortunately, in the past I’ve listened to so many albums of this genre, let’s say progressive/neo-prog, that certain listens have become tiresome. Especially because blatantly copying Genesis has become quite common since the '80s. Which isn’t the peak of creativity. This is one of those albums that makes me say: "for heaven's sake, it’s played exceptionally well, but at this point, I'll go listen to 'The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway'.” There are plenty of bands in this category: Arena, Pallas, Pendragon, IQ, Flower Kings, etc... all the way to the most embarrassing extensions like Transatlantic. Good review.

One of the highest peaks of Folk guitar. They call the genre "American Primitivism"... for me, it is simply great music. Universal and immortal music.

I appreciate the poetic aspect and the quote from Pavese (which is, by the way, very fitting), but I was expecting at least a brief synopsis of the work. The film is a masterpiece, like almost everything the Coens have done. Turturro and Goodman are, as usual, remarkable.

It's interesting to note how in sites frequented by music enthusiasts, the majority rightly consider the production of this pseudo-artist to be CRAP, while if you sift through the opinions of the ignorant masses, all of a sudden Vasco becomes a legend, an essential, immeasurable artist. The success of this chubby guy is based on marketing strategies and the abyssal ignorance in the musical field of his average listeners. No more, no less than what happens with Gigi D'Alessio, Laura Pausini, Biagio Antonacci, and Ligabue. No more, no less. P.S.: "Buoni o Cattivi" is an unreachable peak of shitty music; even with effort, it’s incredibly hard to reach such garbage. This album might come close.

It's not that it makes me feel better; it's simply the reality. All or almost all the artists who sell a lot in Italy (but not only in Italy) are, to say the least, steaming piles of crap, putrid shit to use a technical term. Then, the word itself says it: FIMI - Federazione INDUSTRIA musicale italiana. It’s an industry! It's marketing, it's business, it's the antithesis of artistic promotion. Then, every 1,000 pieces of garbage, there’s an album that deserves to be in the charts, but it’s more of a coincidence than a decision. Record labels decide to release 50 remastered reissues of Vasco and Liga's albums while masterpieces from the past like Spiderland or the albums by Codeine or many other great ARTISTS have been out of print for ages. Don’t tell me that entering the charts is the result of any artistic merit because that's total bullshit.

Damn!! What an honor to be in the charts alongside people like LIGABUE, VASCO, MADONNA, COLDPLAY, JOVANOTTI, GIUSI!! It definitely means he's a great artist! Hahahahaha!! Really worthy of those useless buffoons. Last night, wandering through the FM stations, at the same moment they were playing Ligabue's latest track on 4 different radios... If anyone comes to talk to me about free radio, I’ll piss in their face!
