@ICNARF: post-grunge practically emerged in the period following Nirvana, after Cobain's death... there have been numerous attempts to blend grunge and alternative with distinctly melodic touches... D.Grohl, former Nirvana member, greatly contributed to post-grunge with his Foo Fighters, even though they have a very pronounced melodic sense. For the rest, I could suggest you listen to the early CDs of P.Of Mudd, especially the practically unknown "Abrasive," or to go lighter, a bit of Theory of a Deadman... but not only that... in fact, too many people have profited from this pseudo genre...
