So let's conclude by saying that what is trash to you is quality to me, and vice versa of course. The point is that in the end we have to distinguish subjectivity from objectivity, in the sense that I believe it's clear to everyone that for example, Paolo Meneguzzi is an idiot, but there are still some who speak well of him; he certainly can't be called a genius. Everything else is up for discussion: to you, "Origin Of Symmetry" may not feel creative, while for you it may be the worst CD of the "King Crimson." In turn, their best CD for me would, in terms of quality, be worth no more than half of what a decent "Load" by Metallica is... well, you get what I mean!

Well, dear Mauromuse, because if you relate genius to the Muses, that's just not it, is it? Because Origin Of Symmetry isn't a "creative" album! Because M. Bellamy has no flair! Not at all! What are we even saying here! :)

Okay, as always... democratic and respectful!!! Well, I agree with you, Dinosaur Jr have a flair and a sense of creativity far superior to Mr. Nicholas, but why not also compared to various Cobain and Jim Morrison!

Dinosaur Jr. are more assholes than aliens! :D Anyway, it's all about perspectives; for me, Nicholas is a creative genius.

'Alternative' is a genre, I meant alternative rock, not alternative as the plural of 'alternative', I just didn't put it in quotation marks, next time I'll be more careful.

Pop/Metalcore seems a bit excessive to me, and the Deftones, dear Larrok, were as sad as few! Oh my god, how much I hate Minerva! :)

Indeed, comment 21 is hilarious! Well, yes, we are closer than I thought! However, I don't think I'll tire of bands like Bullet or Avenged Sevenfold that easily. Still, the "emotional metalcore" genre does come closer to pop than a "Rust In Peace" by Megadeth, but ultimately it captivates you. Each of us has our limit of tolerance; it took you a week, while it might take me 10 years! Anyway, I will be waiting with 'spasmodic anxiety' for the new and 'renewed' work of the love-struck bullets just to shoot myself a bit of cool metal from time to time! (While I'm writing to you, I'm listening to yet another gem from "Ill Nino," namely Enigma, really a show! :D) Best regards to an intelligent listener; alas, this time I was wrong, I would have bet half my salary on your metal view being Black or White, Thrash or nothing! :)

@TIROMHPARE "with those who don't know metal but find it 'cool' (see comment 13)": dear Mr. Tirohmpare, first of all, thank you for your intervention. I imagine it’s not easy for you to find time to dedicate to us, so I’ll get straight to the point.
Firstly, I believe your consideration is incorrect; the reason being that I am quite informed and passionate about metal music (despite the nickname). As a matter of fact, I have personally spent several months promoting online and offline one of the many modern underground realities that, as you rightly pointed out, have little space, even though they possess at least appreciable quality: the Alkoholic Devastation, a band from Puglia that you probably don’t know.
Continuing, I would like to emphasize that I consider Bullet For My Valentine one of the best modern metal acts, for a simple reason: if you had listened to the album (but I strongly doubt that), you would surely have noticed that the band is not lacking in creativity. I agree that the major labels prefer to sponsor such guys at the expense of others (why not) equally capable for merchandising reasons, but I don’t accept a negative comment in advance without any attentive listening, nor do I want to be considered a 'non-expert in Metal' just because I appreciate this type of metal... yes, the one from Bullet For My Valentine is 'cool' metal! (forgive me for the plagiarism of the adjective) And it’s right that it is so! Best regards to you and the 'brave' reviewer.
