@ Franci!: first of all, my compliments because at times your sarcasm is exceptional, and I assure you that it takes a lot to make me laugh or smile with just a simple phrase, but after a while shooting at the Red Cross gets tiring...come on, you know it too! :D

Great introspective work by the Reverend, the review doesn't seem like it's yours, if he's that good.

Fully agree with Larrok (although I would personally exclude Metallica from the discussion), in my opinion this is an utterly scandalous album for obvious reasons: first of all, the band has tried, with the obvious help of the record label, to overdo it and surprise us, simulating without personalizing a sound that is almost far removed from the past and much too close to a mediocre Queen template, with distasteful and insulting 'alternative pop' seasonings. Furthermore, the desire to overdo it (or oversell it) has yielded meager results; the pretension of declaring it a masterpiece is masked—or pretends to be masked—by the last three hidden (not so hidden) tracks "Exogenesis," cleverly attempting to elevate an album that has nothing to say from the very beginning but appears to show the opposite, much like a politician or mass manipulator injecting gratuitous mastery in abundance to engage the listeners, blinding them like smoke trying to cover the eyes of fans or those like me who remain attached to the sounds of "Origin Of Symmetry." They should be ashamed. Rating 3.5/10.

Thank you, HB. If it’s not your genre, contrary to what SID says, I suggest starting with the softer stuff, so "All Hope Is Gone" and the previous "Vol.3" should be a great way to get closer to the band. In my opinion, it would be wrong to start from their early days; in fact, I'll tell you more, you should listen to certain tracks from this album and the previous one, then move on to: "Psychosocial," "Dead Memories," "Snuff," "Sulfer," "Vendetta" from the album "All Hope Is Gone" and then "Prelude," "Three Nil," "Duality," "Circle," "Before I Forget" from the album "Vol.3." I repeat, there are other harder tracks that are just as beautiful, but in my opinion, if you have to start, start from here—my personal opinion...
