Well, grades often serve to simplify the judgment that one wants to give to a movie or an album; in this way, it seems to complicate things instead. And then I repeat, taste matters, yes, but only up to a point... one should also understand the value of something based on what it is and not just on what it evokes in us... at least, that's how I see it.

Aside from the fact that you mention 6.5 when instead you gave 2+3= 2.5, therefore 5/10 and not 6.5/10, you say he’s a great jokester and then say he makes you laugh little? And if the quality isn't always excellent, sometimes it will be, so it’s not true that no Allen film is a masterpiece. Producing almost one film a year means nothing, considering he writes them in two months (as uxo reminds us). If Woody Allen doesn’t make you laugh, I’m sorry, but in my opinion, that’s a sign of coldness. And a great film doesn’t have to drive you crazy. Anyway, I expected you to go into more detail, still..
