The review is a 4, to make up for it I'll give you a 3... Sorry, but more had to be said.

In my opinion, this is among the very first Italian albums worth reviewing. Considering we're in '68, and in Italy we had only a few valid offerings—besides some beat and very little else—just Mario Schifano's Le stelle and, of course, Faber's first album, this album deserves a lot of credit: among many things, the interludes, the poetry intertwined with music, the concept idea, the way the words reach into your soul... Maybe it's not De André's best album, but who dares to criticize him? More than a myth, an hero.

In the realm of live concerts, live albums, or any live performance that I can recall, nothing has been more spectacular than "Yessongs," the triple LP by Yes. The fact is that in the world of prog, faithfully reproducing a track live is much, much harder than improvising, and credit must be given to Jethro Tull for this. The Who’s live album is fantastic, but records like Kiss's "Alive," the Grateful Dead's "Live/Dead," various live albums by the Doors, Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, the early Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, Dream Theater, Queensryche, and so on, are far more exciting than that of the Who. Poletti thinks a band can just go on stage and do whatever they like as long as it’s spectacular: NO! And the proof of this is Waters' "The Wall" live in Berlin with various artists, which, despite being a show of unique majesty, musically remains a half-ass job. Anderson, the embodiment of the complete artist, can be happy or not with what he does; it’s up to music enthusiasts to judge, and you, Poletti, are the first I hear saying such things. Oh yes, you are the case number... uh, I don't remember... perhaps 104???

1) Metallica have released 4 albums that are far superior to the Black Album, which is therefore far from being defined as a masterpiece. 2) I don't think the early '90s rock scene was experiencing a magical period, largely due to the two grunge bands you mentioned. 3) The highlight of the album is One. 4) Metallica should only be thanked for giving us gems like Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, and And Justice for All; after that, this Black Album should only be listened to to understand the mediocre path they took afterward, thus being renounced even by the most obsessive fan with a minimum of musical culture. These are my personal considerations.

For me, U2, Oasis, or these guys are the same thing... they mean absolutely nothing to me... worn-out commercial stuff, without any exception. I'm keeping cool. But why do you call me a heretic?

Well, you all be happy... for now I'm getting closer to Davis and Monk, so I have other things on my mind.
