Well, then I can also say that you IMPLICITLY claim my theories have some truth, but since you like the music that I don't, you can't admit that my thoughts are right just because you think I'm a kid who knows only a few bands.

1) The post you challenged me on was made up of 4 independent thoughts, each separated by a period. The 3rd thought had nothing to do with the second, as you believe. 2) If you didn't understand it, let me repeat: I never intended to suggest that the attempt by Xtc was to bring rock back to its original state. 3) The lack of technique I wanted to highlight was certainly not directed at all the 80s, but rather at the majority of punk and new wave bands born from 77. 4) In your first post, you contradict yourself, because if I find something good in modern music, it’s also thanks to Symphony X. 5) Then you say an immense nonsense by defining power and prog-metal as similar, thus making a heavily debatable generalization. This argument wouldn’t even hold for Symphony X alone, where power is just a sporadic component, and a minimal listening and knowledge of prog-metal or power would take you far from defining them as power. 6) You show arrogance in several points (you talk about the sellers of Stranamore, you say I make balls drop, that I have stupid "prejudices" to "remove" [can you believe it..], you insist that for me there are 3 genres, you say I listen to Husker Du referring to them as the fathers of Nirvana just to ironically say I have a thousand coherence, you insist again that Symphony X and Rhapsody aren’t that different, you pretend to know how many punk records I know and you want to teach me about Xtc, etc.), and all this compromises the discussion, both the one we were having and the original one that should concern this record. I repeat, using this arrogance you will never manage to make me understand your thoughts, if you truly want me to understand. Since I think you only want to fuel useless discussions, and since you don’t know either the record, the band, or the genre of this review, I think it’s time to stop.

But do you really think you’re clever for turning the discussion around and implying that I generalized by saying there were no technical groups in the 80s (which, by the way, we should clarify what we mean by ‘technical’)? Huh? Do you feel strong? And do you think that by pointing out flaws in the groups you prefer you could make me accept your argument? You’re just goading the situation, and I’ve said what I needed to say. It ends here with you.

Here is where your stupidity shows: you go and touch the Caravan.. I don't like discussing with you, and I will never do it again.

I theorize about what I know. I don’t understand the purpose of your list. The only ultra-technical one I see is Satriani. And anyway, that’s not the point. I don’t deny that many of them are technical, but you misunderstood what I meant. I didn’t want to, and I don’t want to, make a list myself.

Let's talk about rock anyway... or not? Anyway, I'm fed up; you think you know more than me, and you're free to think that.
