Donjunio talked about it before me. I think he's referring as much to the Beatles, Yardbirds, Rolling Stones, Who as to MC5, Fugs, Deviants, etc. I'm not the one to digress.

You also gave me the quiz, nice. And then progressive isn’t just that perfectly clean sound; take Henry Cow or Brainticket, for example. To answer your question, between the dirty chords and the clean prog, I prefer the latter. Shall we turn it up???

For me, there isn't a single original spirit, as Scaruffo also says :-) Otherwise, I would have to choose between Bob Dylan and Porcupine Tree, or between Love and La locanda delle fate, and that would be quite difficult for me. Do you, on the other hand, have a punk spirit?

Let’s not forget about Emi, but also Manikin, who speculated on Schulze with over 100, and I mean 100, CDs including live albums, box sets, compilations, collaborations, and so on...

No face, Vai has nothing to envy Petrucci. It's just that I personally prefer John.

My response was to Donjunio's post, in which he also postponed the discussion about Xtc to the conversation about bringing rock back to its roots. It doesn’t take much to understand that Xtc has nothing to do with V.U. The fact is that the message of prog-metal, as well as its technique and aesthetics, is much harder to achieve, to expose, and to interpret, especially since it is often indirect, and therefore should be clearly placed ahead of punk or new wave. Are you just trying to counter my arguments, which you can't accept? Or do you have some of your own? Or can you only provoke, as you've further demonstrated in the last two lines of the previous post?

I thank primiballi and zarathustra for their support. Then I would like to address easycure, for yet another time: do we give 5 to Drudi and 1 to the Pink Floyd? It's a bit like Poletti giving 2 to Zappa and 4 to Nada. What's wrong with this live performance? Maybe Mason should have played the drums with his teeth?
I don't dispute your musical culture, but I would like an explanation. Okay, you don't like prog-metal, those are your tastes, but I mean, the Pink Floyd live! And even if it were a self-celebration, what's wrong with that? How many bands can afford it?

Alright, then I'll start to mess with you too, and then we'll see if you respond or not.

This music (music?) makes me want to give up.
