@Lesto Bang and easycure: I listened to some of Blur, not the album in question, and I don't see a single interesting point in their music, not even one. It's not like there's a minimum that, if I wanted to exaggerate it, could make me extraordinarily associate one of their elements with something from Pink Floyd, no, there's really nothing at all.

Jim keeps not giving me sensible answers but only questions. I can only tell you that the entire musical part in those songs, in my opinion, is more trivial than Wywh, and I can say that after numerous listens. If you disagree with this, explain to me why, without unnecessary questions. And tell me who you consider superior to Pink Floyd and Soft Machine, since these are personal opinions; I’ve shared mine and I would be curious to know yours.

Jesus.. Sylvian, what would I have said that was nonsensical??? Do you think it's constructive and useful to speak kindly about that list here on debaser??? Are we aware of what we are saying????

The message that Area would like to convey is perfectly underscored. I fully agree with some of the reviewer's posts as well. Long live MUSIC, down with punk.

My vision of Music is complete, you speak to me about music with a lowercase m, and I tell you that it’s simply negligible, and absolutely incomparable to Division Bell. I've never talked about an album without knowing it, but in this case, do you really think I should listen to Blur? Are you kidding? Are you going to do like Scaruffi with Aqua? I think it’s you who is overly confident, not me. Come on, praising Blur?!? And you spit on prog-metal? I don’t understand you, you're strange.

Damn! The Piper is 347°. And now, who’s going to tell Scaruffo?

@Sylvian82: >>>>>As for the history of music, I would like to bring to your attention that in 1979 (by then the most important Floyd albums had already been released), thirty Anglo-American journalists were asked to compile a list of the 100 best albums of all time<<<<< This is what you said in a review about Lacrima some time ago. Now you come up with another list curated by none other than the most glorious American music magazine, Rolling Stone, based on the opinions of 200/300 industry insiders… Everyone go to the Rolling Stone website, and you’ll see that many such profit-driven lists have been made, about the 500 best guitarists, the 500 best songs, even the 50 moments that changed music and nonsense like that. Well, know that it’s not in the interests of the insiders to exclude trendy bands nor give credit to unknown groups; it’s all a cash grab. How can such a magazine be called the most glorious? Maybe it was once, when music was first and foremost a passion. Nowadays, music is about packaged artists that last 3 months and then go stale… and that magazine survives thanks to them.. And this list of yours, which probably, from the way you talk about it, seems like you have hung it in your room, has plenty to criticize. To give a very simple example, ā€œOff the Wallā€ by Michael Jackson is in 68th place while ā€œVolunteersā€ by Jefferson Airplane is in 370th place! And let’s not even talk about the non-important but ESSENTIAL albums that are completely missing. On what the hell would this ranking be based? Not even on sales, damn it. It’s the tastes of whom??? Of many ignorant people who are currently speculating in the music field and don’t even know Soft Machine or King Crimson! At this point, it’d be better to turn to Scaruffi, seriously! The only thing I’d like to know is how you can rely on these American nonsense. Fans of Toto Cutugno may be ignorant, but they don’t speculate on others’ ignorance!!!!

Are you still looking for that list of American music snobs? I already talked to you about it once; their opinion doesn't mean a damn thing, they don't do it for passion. I repeat, do you really think it's possible that among the 500 greatest albums of all time, there aren't Third, Close to the Edge, Atom Heart Mother, Foxtrot, In the Land of Grey and Pink, 2112, Gentle Giant, Flying Teapot, and dozens more??? I'd love to see that list: Michael Jackson, Madonna, U2, and various junk, right???

It burns me that you leave too many senseless comments on this review where instead we would like to discuss music. But you can't understand that...
