Squarepusher Big Loada
Voto:
Electronics really attract me, even if I'm not a huge fan of this genre but a sincere sympathizer. I know that Squarepusher, along with Aphex Twin, are great innovators. Which Squarepusher tracks do you recommend? And maybe some other names, just to help me navigate the electronic sea of this genre? Thanks for your patience and assistance!
DJ Shadow Endtroducing....
Voto:
Great Dj Shadow, I really like Endtroducing, and this is said by someone who isn't very familiar with these sounds. Rece, as always, at high levels.

Zion, I came across your review to reiterate what I mentioned in the chat a few days ago: you really write very well, and I have to thank you because through this review I discovered clouddead, and a whole new world has opened up for me.
Aphex Twin ...I Care Because You Do

I'm very curious about the character and I would like to get closer to his music, also because I quite like electronics. Which one do you recommend I start with? Thanks in advance.
Museo Rosenbach Zarathustra

Anyway: philosophy and politics have never gotten along.

I will definitely look for the album; our local productions all deserve to be rediscovered, and the Museo Rosenbach shouldn't be missed. Great suggestion!
Meshuggah Nothing

I wanted to share my thoughts for a moment on the jazz influence in Meshuggah: jazz, but I believe more so fusion, especially in Thordendal's solos, is very present and essential. It's no longer a "warm, free, and enveloping" jazz as Donnie rightly points out, but on the contrary, it's cold, schizophrenic, and locked like a mechanism in closed harmonic structures.

And then the texts... read them, it's definitely worth it.
Meshuggah Nothing

In my opinion, nothing—and I repeat, nothing—sounds like this album, not even within the same Meshuggah discography. Maybe a bit of Catch 33, but even that's not quite right, as there they have two or three riffs with some arpeggios cyclically repeated. In Nothing, there are actual blocks of an indefinable material (calling them songs doesn’t seem appropriate). Nothing = alienation. Just the title alone: this CD is everything and nothing; it's the sound of a cold, alienating civilization, or simply the sound of our multifaceted minds. They're not even notes: they're plugs directly inserted into the spine... Clearly, they are among my favorite bands, right? Sorry, but when Meshuggah are on...
Meshuggah Destroy Erase Improve

One of my all-time favorite metal albums, an incredibly original band, DEI is at the top, and in second place for me is nothing.
