I believe that cyberpunk is not a musical genre, but more of an underground literary movement (if I'm wrong, I apologize). From how you've described them, these Dope Stars should be very pop and not much serious industrial metal... I imagine they don't have a damn thing to do with Meshuggah, Fear Factory, SYL, and their futuristic companions, right?

I always associate this film with The Cube, and I’m not quite sure why... maybe because the victims eliminate themselves, trapped in a sadistic and very psychological game. I wouldn't define the final twist as horrific at all; in fact, I personally didn't see it coming. In the end, it manages to disgust you for quite a few scenes, and you also have fun.
